Testing and going live
Test a payment
- On WPHEKA > Moneris, turn Sandbox mode on and enter your Moneris test Store ID and API token. Moneris' public test store is Store ID
store5with API tokenyesguy. - Add a product to the cart and go to checkout, classic or block.
- Choose Moneris and pay with card number
4242 4242 4242 4242, any CVC and an expiry date in the future. More test cards are in the Moneris testing guide. - The order is paid. Its notes show "Moneris payment complete" with the transaction number, and it appears on the Transactions tab.
While sandbox mode is on, the classic checkout says "TEST MODE ENABLED" under the payment method. The Checkout block doesn't show this note, so check the Mode card on WPHEKA > Moneris before you go live.
Refunds
Refund from the WooCommerce order screen with Refund and Refund via Moneris. The refund goes back to the card through Moneris.
Refunds work from the day after the payment. On the day of the payment itself, Moneris needs a different request (a Purchase Correction), which WC Moneris Gateway Pro sends.
Go live
- Get your live Store ID and API token from the Moneris Merchant Resource Centre.
- On WPHEKA > Moneris, enter them and turn Sandbox mode off.
- Save. The Mode card says Live.
Logs
With Log gateway events on, each request and reply is written to WooCommerce > Status > Logs under the source wpheka-gateway-moneris. Card numbers are masked to the last four digits. The expiry date, CVD, API token and customer details are left out. Turn logging off when you are done.
