Installation and setup
Install
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New and search for WC Moneris Payment Gateway.
- Click Install Now, then Activate. WooCommerce must be active.
If WC Moneris Gateway Pro is active, the free plugin stays switched off: deactivate one before using the other.
Set it up
- Go to WPHEKA > Moneris. The plugins screen's Settings link and the Moneris entry under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments open the same page.
- Under Moneris account, enter your Store ID and API token. Both are in the Moneris Merchant Resource Centre. Sandbox and live use different ones.
- Leave Sandbox mode on while you test.
- Under Checkout, check Enable Moneris, the Title and Description customers see, and the Card logos.
- Click Save changes in the bar that appears at the bottom of the screen.
Then test a payment before you take real ones.
Where the settings used to be
Before version 3.9.0 the settings were under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Moneris. They moved to WPHEKA > Moneris in 3.9.0, with the same values: nothing needs to be entered again. The old link opens the new page.
Shop managers can open and change the settings, as they could before.
