Edit Orders for WooCommerce

WPHEKA Edit Orders for WooCommerce is a free WooCommerce plugin. WooCommerce locks an order once it is paid. This plugin lets you change a paid order in a few clicks and handles the money for you:

  • The order costs less? The difference is refunded through your payment method, with the items put back in stock.
  • The order costs more? A small linked order for the difference is created and your customer gets a link to pay it. The change is made when it is paid; until then the order ships as it was.
  • The price doesn't change? The change is made straight away.

You always see a preview first: what changes, what is refunded, what the customer pays and what happens to stock.

An example

A customer orders 2 blue hoodies and emails you: one should be large. They also want to add a mug.

  1. Open the order and click Edit items or address.
  2. Change one hoodie's option to Large and add the mug.
  3. The preview says the customer pays the difference through a pay link. The order stays as it is until then.
  4. Click Apply changes. The customer gets an email with the link. When they pay, the order changes and stock moves.

The money is always handled correctly

  • A paid order's total is never changed without refunding or charging the difference.
  • Decreases are real WooCommerce refunds, with tax split per tax rate, so your reports stay right.
  • If your payment method can't refund automatically, the refund is still recorded with stock restored, the order is flagged Manual refund needed and you get an email. It never says a refund happened when it didn't.
  • Cash on delivery: changes adjust the amount to collect instead of moving money.
  • Orders paid by authorization only are left alone until the payment is captured.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.6 or later
  • WooCommerce 9.0 or later
  • PHP 7.4 or later

Works with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) on or off, with the Cart and Checkout blocks and with classic and block themes.
